Over the past 10 years I have gradually transitioned my family over to a more holistic lifestyle. Often there is a catalyst to make a change and so it was for me when my children were born, wanting to feed their little bodies with the most nutritious food possible. A subsequent health crisis for one of my children accelerated my interest and growth in the holistic and natural world. It was the day to day living, what we were doing consistently, that I was conscious about changing.  Food and nutrition was the first element that I implemented and over time it has evolved into so much more.  From the products we put on our skin, to the quality of water we drink, cleaning products we use, tools we utilise to support our emotional health and the natural therapies we seek to keep our bodies aligned and in harmony. By all means I am not perfect. There are days when I don’t feel like cooking and grab takeaway. There are times when I slack off taking supplements, don’t drink enough water or exercise becomes obsolete. But the intention is to always come back to a place of health and wellness.

Health has always been a passion of mine. I have been a Registered Nurse for 15 years and worked in the mainstream hospital system for 10 of those years. Over time it no longer felt aligned with my values and whilst on maternity leave with my youngest child, I studied a Diploma in Nutritional Medicine. This led me to a career as an Integrative Health Nurse and I haven’t looked back. It has been whilst working in this role that I have learnt that there is not just one way to optimal health and healing. There are a multitude of modalities and therapies that can all provide a piece to the puzzle. The minute you disregard one way, you block yourself off to true healing.

I have recently delved further in to the holistic health journey and studied to become an Integrative Health Coach through the Institute of Integrative Nutrition (IIN). It is my mission to share the knowledge I have gained over the years to help anyone out there who is wanting to lead a more healthy, holistic lifestyle. To share from my heart to yours the ways in which you can make some positive changes for you and your family’s health. It is not about overhauling your life all at once, but rather making small, incremental shifts over time to really cement the habits and lifestyle you desire. I have created this space for people to learn, grow and open their minds to another way. For me to also connect with others, so that I can do the same.

So here I am. Chantelle. Wife. Mother of 3. Daughter. Sister. Aunty. Friend. Nurse. Life-long student. Holistic health advocate. A glass half full kind of gal! I will always see the good in life, no matter the hardships and I will endeavour to seek out joy and adventure in everyday life, as you never know when it will all come to an end.

A few things I love:

  • Books, like borderline addiction! Whether it is getting lost in the characters of a novel or educating myself on a topic that I am interested in, either way I love the freedom that reading brings. More imagination, more knowledge, more power
  • Spending time in nature - be it hiking in the forest or swimming in the ocean, get me out in Mother Nature
  • Travel - nothing brings me more joy than exploring new places and making unforgettable memories
